Fuse caught up with Javier Colon, winner of The Voice, to get tips on how to win the singing competition from the only person who currently holds that honor. His first bit of advice is something some of us learned in Boy Scouts: “Be Prepared.”

Colon's second bit of advice, “Keep your composure,” is a tip he’s certainly following these days. After Simon Cowell challenged victors from American Idol and The Voice to compete against the winner of The X Factor in a singing battle, Colon recently Tweeted his acceptance. “I really respect the others shows and winners a lot but if U want a battle I’m IN!”

The Voice victor also told us the advice Adam Levine, his vocal coach on the show, gave him immediately after his first-place finish. Colon also talks about bringing his "wife and two baby girls" with him on tour whenever he can, and hitting Disney World with the family after performing at the Mouse House.
