UPDATE: Dead Body Found at Rick Ross' Miami Home
A man was shot and killed outside one of Rick Ross' Miami homes early Wednesday morning, Miami's Local 10 reports.
The body of a 40-year-old man was discovered by police in the front lawn of the home. "Police were driving through the neighborhood and came across a body," said Sgt. Bill Bamford of the Miami Gardens Police Department, to Miami's Local 10.
A witness told Local 10, "I was there when there were shots. I don't know what car, but they got away down the street."
Sgt. Bamford added, "They do have neighbors that did hear gunshots. [Police] are talking with them to determine what they heard and hopefully put the pieces of the puzzle together."
Police haven't released a sketch or description of the shooter. Check back to Fuse for more updates as they happen.
UPDATE: Police say Rick Ross was not at the property at the time of the shooting, around 7 a.m. this morning. They're not treating him as a suspect, but they still want to talk to him as part of the investigation. Ross has a different mailing address but often uses the house as a recording studio and lets his friends stay there. Additionally, police have removed the victim's car from the property.
UPDATE 2: Police confirm that Rick Ross is not a suspect.
