INDIE: SLEIGH BELLS HOPES BLUE IVY IS A FAN
Sleigh Bells had the chance to work with Beyoncé last year, and although the recording session didn't work out ("I'd love to actually work with her someday when I actually get some creative input," said guitarist Derek Miller), they hope she's still listening. Vocalist Alexis Krauss told NME, "I like to think we're on her radar. I like to think her and Jay-Z are playing Sleigh Bells to Blue Ivy." [NME]

METAL: GENE SIMMONS TALKS ANGRY BIRDS COLLABO
Gene Simmons of KISS is really passionate about merchandising the band, and now he’s channeling that passion into online media and video games. “We’re talking with Angry Birds, KISS and Angry Birds, which will become a deal,” which sounds like a pretty rock n’ roll way to waste an afternoon. He’s also taking a step back in time: “The first issues of KISS Archie comic books hits the world this month,” said Simmons right after he mentioned the angry birds thing. [Forbes/NME]

DANCE: THE RAPTURE: "OUR SONG CHANGED THE GAME"The Rapture, that undersung band that got possibly millions of hesitant rumps in skinny jeans shaking (around the beginning of 00's) are coming back to get their respect.
