The-Dream, also known by his birth name Terius Nash, just dropped the video for "ROC," the first single off of his forthcoming fourth album, The Love, IV: Diary of a Madman. He starts the video at the arcade and then heads to a poolside barbecue, where he makes burgers (and maybe turkey burgers). Then it gets sexy. Watch the video below.
COUNTRY: Starlet Rewrites Pop Hit
Taylor Swift continued her streak of being able to do no wrong on The Ellen Degeneres Show yesterday afternoon when she and the man she is currently denying dating, Zac Efron, rewrote Foster The People's massive hit "Pumped Up Kicks." They turned the song into a tribute to Ellen Degeneres, which was nice, and it turns out that Foster the people caught the performance and tweeted at Taylor, "Nice one." We hope they weren't being sarcastic. That video is below.
INDIE: Dubstep Wunderkind Gets "More Aggressive" and "Clubby"
Twenty-one-year-old English dubstep maestro James Blake (who released one of the hottest albums of 2011, James Blake) has told Spinner that he's begun work on his new album and said that he's moving towards a different sound. Blake said, "I think it's going to be a bit more aggressive, to be honest. It seems that way. I don't feel more aggressive, it's just been… It's just how I feel. In terms of writing more club tracks, writing more electronically influenced – I feel like it was all electronically influenced, but now that influence has come to me in a different way." [NME]
HIP HOP: Def Jam Stars Team Up for New Video
2 Chainz, the rapper formerly known as Tity Boy who was one half of Playaz Circle, has struck out on his own and just released a new video for his single "One Day At a Time." He was recently signed to Def Jam on the strength of his mixtape T.R.U. REALigion, which is what this song comes from. Rapper Jim Jones directs the video, and you can watch it below.
