At Cash Money’s Grammy party, Lil Wayne spit a few verses that Jay-Z probably wouldn’t have smiled at (He implied no one wants to "watch the throne"). Esteban Serrano—a producer on Hip Hop Shop and the host of Rap Report—thinks these two hip-hop heavyweights have taken timid potshots at each other long enough and it's time for a real rap competition.

Elsewhere in this week’s Rap Report, Esteban calls out the shoddy job Kanye West did directing the “N***** in Paris” video and praises Queens hip-hop duo Timeless Truth. “They found a time machine back when New York rap ran the world,” he says. “Real hip-hop is back.”
