When Chris Brown was convicted of assaulting Rihanna three years ago this month, I don't think he would have imagined he'd be contributing a guest verse to her new single in 2012, but here we are. According to Miss Info, Mr. Brown recorded a verse for Rihanna's "Birthday Cake," a song so catchy it's destined to be a massive hit. There's no word yet on the release date. The news comes just days after Chris Brown thoroughly embarrassed himself on Twitter after winning a GRAMMY, writing, "HATE ALL U WANT BECUZ I GOT A GRAMMY Now!" as a response to artists and fans who thought it was inappropriate that Chris Brown was performing at The GRAMMYs after the Rihanna assault. Even Chris Brown's mother said he needed to "grow up" after the tweet.

Yesterday, "RIP Chris Brown" was trending on Twitter because fans thought he'd killed his own career with that tweet. Now, Rihanna looks like she's helping resurrect it.
