Rick Ross Talks New Album and Post-Seizure Life Changes
He might not have been dressed in his black-tie finest, but rapper Rick Ross still managed to be one of the biggest presences on the pre-GRAMMY red carpet. FUSE’s Touré got him to talk about hitting the studio with Dr. Dre for his upcoming album, God Forgives, I Don’t, as well as how he’s changing his life after suffering two seizures in the same day last October.
“I’m putting the final touches on it,” Ross said about his album.”I got to get in the studio with Dr. Dre—the one and only—and we made some magic. I’ll be releasing the [album release] date very soon.”
As for his health, Ross says he’s, “Feeling great” and sheds some light on his seizures. “It bore down to extreme exhaustion. I was getting two hours [of sleep] a night for the last few years… I never had a vacation because I just loved doing what I was doing.”
Since then, Ross says he’s had to, "Make a few adjustments, a few tweaks” to his lifestyle. “I take naps… Instead of me staying up [at night] writing 4 or 5 songs, I gotta get some rest.”
And in case you were wondering, that’s OK Go in the background hanging off of the Floridian rapper’s every word.
