Things are moving fast for Skrillex: The last year has seen him go from an unknown DJ to pop culture ubiquity with his glitchy sound earning him a nomination for Best New Artist. FUSE’s  Touré caught up with him on the red carpet—by which point the California dubstep dude had already won three GRAMMYs—and found out that he’s apparently so busy he didn’t even know who was performing at the GRAMMYs Awards Show.

Skrillex talks “rethinking his interior design” to fit his shiny new GRAMMYs and why he’s almost exclusively making new music on the road these days. Why did Skrillex’s dad once tell his son that Whitney Houston was “the first Michael Jackson”? To make sense of that odd claim, check out the video above.
