Alabama spitter Yelawolf, one of our favorite new rappers, has ruptured his spleen, which was not what we were expecting when we found out that he had canceled his recent Detroit show and was hospitalized in Wisconsin. The news was announced in a Fuse press release about the upcoming Shady Records showcase at SXSW, which Yela was supposed to play and—not to brag—Fuse is streaming live on Friday.
"Interscope Records recording artist Yelawolf is still recuperating from a ruptured spleen suffered earlier this month," confirmed the statement. We hope he gets better soon!
It appears, however, that Yela has been taking his injury in stride: he got a tattoo of Johnny Cash on the side of his shaved head, along with his girlfriend Fefe Dobson's first name. Check it out right here.
