North Carolina MC J. Cole is starting his college tour with Big K.R.I.T. and Fuse's Esteban Serrano stopped by for the details. "I was instantly a fan of [Big K.R.I.T.] because he's just got that essence: That real laid back, down south [essence]. And also very pure," sad Cole.
The rapper also talks about going to college: "You get that college refund check from Sallie Mae! When I learned that hustle, I was gone. That was the best hustle!"
On working with Jay-Z, Cole talks about standing out on Jigga's Roc Nation label: "You can't be bigger than Jay-Z. It's almost like Michael Jordan: We won't even allow anybody to ever be better than Michael Jordan just because we feel how we feel about him... I knew that it would take me going out and building my own foundation... Even to this day, you never see Jay-Z introduce me anywhere."
