IRVINE, CA - JUNE 05: Scott Weiland of Stone Temple Pilots performs at the KROQ Weenie Roast 2010 at Verizon Wireless Amphit
Noel Vasquez

I'm a fan of most things Scott Weiland. The '90s Stone Temple Pilots material is classic, of course (Tiny Music... Songs from the Vatican Gift Shop is a fave)but I also dug the band's self-titled reunion effort, as well as Weiland's recent solo release. Spinner just scored the exclusive premiere of the latest from the STP problem-child: "Breathe," his contribution to the Avengers soundtrack. Listen over here.

I'll admit: I'm on the fence about this one. It's a stone-cold power ballad in the vein of, say, Aerosmith's "Don't Wanna Miss a Thing." It's big. It's catchy. It's sort of... corny? And that's coming from a life-long fan. But, who knows, maybe it'll grow on me. Listen to the song, then tell us what you think in the comments below.
