PETA Responds to Kanye West's Diss in "Theraflu"
Kanye West had a lot of words for a lot of folks (Kim Kardashian, Kris Humphries, Wiz Khalifa) in "Theraflu," which leaked online Wednesday night. But perhaps the words that stung the most were those aimed at animal rights organization PETA, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals.
Kanye rapped ferociously on the track, "Tell PETA my mink is draggin' on the floor." Now, according to XXL Magazine, PETA has hit Kanye back.
PETA's Senior Vice President Dan Matthews said, "What’s draggin’ on the floor is Kanye’s reputation as a man with no empathy for animals or human beings. He’s a great musician but doesn’t seem to have the fashion sense to design anything more than caveman costumes. We keep hoping that one day he’ll find his heart and join evolved style icons—including Russell Simmons, Pink, and Natalie Portman—who have dropped animal skins.”
Kanye has not responded to this yet (it came out only minutes ago), but this isn't the first time the rapper and PETA have done battle: during Paris Fashion Week in 2010, Kanye and his then-girlfriend Amber Rose were wearing fur coats, and Dan Matthews (same guy quoted above) said, "Kanye can’t help making himself look like an idiot, whether at an awards show or a fashion show. He and his girlfriend look like pathetic creatures from a shabby roadside zoo.”
Wonder if Kanye and Waka Flocka Flame, PETA's newest spokesman, are going to start beefing over this! Let us know what you think about the whole thing in the comments.
