Will Battleship (in theaters May 18) sate your craving to see Rihanna on the silver screen? If not, then we've got great news: According to The Sun, Rihanna is starring in the next movie in The Fast and the Furious franchise! She'll play the villain in the sixth movie, the sequel to 2011's actually awesome Fast Five, and will star alongside The Rock and Vin Diesel.

A source close to the film told The Sun, "Rihanna impressed with her acting debut in Battleship. Writers think she’ll be perfect for the role. Her character has plenty of bite and doesn’t take any prisoners—just like her in real life."

They continued, "It’s a step up the ladder for her and could lead to bigger action roles."

Rihanna will be driving the franchise's souped-up cars in London, where the next film is set. It's scheduled to start shooting as early as May 2012. She'll also be driving in Essex, England, since filmmakers can't shoot in London during the summer Olympics. Watch out for pedestrians!

We're pretty excited about Rihanna's role in the Fast and Furious franchise. But what do you think of Rihanna playing a villain? Let us know in the comments!
