Slash, Alice Cooper & Marilyn Manson Reveal Guilty Pop Pleasures
When Fuse was on the red carpet at the 2012 Revolver Golden God Awards in Los Angeles, we asked some of rock's biggest stars to divulge which pop songs they secretly love. After all, the rock factor of Slash, Marilyn Manson, Alice Cooper, Evanescence and everyone else present was a foregone conclusion—so why not find out who was harboring a secret Top 40 love?
What we learned may shock and disturb some. In case you're too afraid to press play on the video above, here's a quick rundown on who said what.
Rock Gods' Guilty Pop Pleasures
Slash: Katy Perry's "California Gurls"
Evanescence: Rihanna's "We Found Love" & Bruno Mars. "We listen to [Mars] a lot when we're getting ready," says Amy Lee.
Alice Cooper: The Knack's "My Sharona." Cooper raves: "It might be the best hook of all time [imitates riff]. I sit there going, 'Why didn't I write that'?"
Marilyn Manson: Justin Timberlake's "Cry Me a River." Manson expounds: "I met him and his mother and I told her that a woman has three holes between her legs." I'm sure she appreciated the update, Marilyn.
Ministry: KC & The Sunshine Band's "Boogie Shoes." "I'm actually all about disco, believe it or not," says frontman Al Jourgensen.
Machine Head: Wham!'s "Careless Whisper." Listen to Robb Flynn sing it very convincingly at 1:14.
Hellyeah: Christina Aguilera's "What a Girl Wants"
Sixx:A.M.: LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" and anything Justin Bieber (seriously).
