If you don't think you've had enough of the Young Money Cash Money Billionaires, with their complete dominance of urban radio (25% of songs played on urban radio last year were YMCMB-affiliated, which is insane) and pop culture, they're hitting the silver screen.
Birdman told XXL Magazine that he's launching Cash Money Films this year. The first two films will be an as-yet-untitled film starring Mike Epps and a movie starring the entire label called Rich Gang.
“We start shooting that in the fall,” said Birdman. “That’s the whole team, that’s like a 2012 Balla Blocking [sic]. The Rich Gang movie is about the team. Everybody is going to be the star of it, but [Lil] Wayne will be the center of it. It’s about the team, everybody that’s on the label.”
Asked if the movie was going to be scripted or documentary-style, Birdman responded, “I would like them for just be themselves. I’m not gonna tell no n***a to go to acting school. Just be yourself. We’re excited as a brand about it. Tyga, everybody is like, ‘[Birdman], let’s do a movie.’ We got a few of them lined up and we gonna shoot them.”
Man, this sounds like it could be either a lot of fun or a complete trainwreck. Let us know what you think it'll be in the comments below! And watch this video below to check out a memorable time that the entire YMCMB family got together:
