Justin Timberlake Is Returning to Music!
Eager/impatient Justin Timberlake fans (i.e., most people who enjoy Top 40 hits) have been wondering for six years when the hell the singer will put his acting career on hold and deliver another killer pop blockbuster like FutureSex/LoveSounds.
Well, it looks like Mr. JT is getting sidetracked by yet another movie project—only this time, he's composing the film's score. The project, entitled The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, will depict a widower's grief over losing his wife—played by Timberlake's fiancée Jessica Biel—in a car crash. Kind of strange, right? Enlisting the man behind "SexyBack" to score scenes about death, loss and other Cannes-friendly plotlines seems like an odd choice.
So it looks like we'll have to wait a bit longer for Justin Timberlake to actually return to the forefront of pop. Are you disappointed? Or were you hoping his third solo album would be a classical instrumental release anyway?
