Thursday afternoon, 22-year-old Internet rap phenomenon Lil B, aka The BasedGod, tweeted the following:
I called Lil B to confirm his involvement with the Toronto crooner/rapper and caught him on the phone at the airport, on his way back to the U.S. from a short European tour. I asked him if he was indeed working with Drake, and he said, "Yeah, we're about to do something real big. I can't speak on it too much right now, but Drake is the only artist [Lil B] wants to work with. We've talked about doing some production."
Lil B added, "[Drake] wants to do something and we're gonna make it happen. Something real big, so just look out for it."
We also asked Lil B about something else he recently tweeted about:
Lil B explained, "My adopted Tabby cat Keke, the first animal artist signed to a label, is shooting a video this week. We wanna get Amber Rose on the remix because Amber showed love for Keke. Shouts out to Amber Rose for that!"
Wow. Okay then. At this point, I should note that even the most concrete plans between cats and men often go awry, so you shouldn't bet your retirement fund on these collaborations happening. But cats play piano, and Lil B is truly one of the most beloved artists in music today, so, hey, anything's possible.
Anyway, there it is: Lil B, Drake, Amber Rose and Keke the cat, all hanging out in The Based World sometime soon.... well, I hope!
