What a great way to end a Tuesday: Canadian indie rockers Metric have unveiled "Youth Without Youth," the first single from their June 12 release Synthetica. Listen below.
It's definitely in the futuristic, electro-rock vein, which has always suited the quartet. But in an additional audio clip, singer Emily Haines says the "intense" song tells the story of a "decaying social state through the eyes of depraved child ... It captures the evolution of this child into a teenager, from playing simple children's games to smashing a window with a brick and getting arrested. It's timely with the general sense of discontent."
