Phish Frontman Trey Anastasio Brings Pickup Truck Documentary to Broadway
Phish frontman Trey Anastasio, whose band is touring America all summer, has been up to something very interesting recently: he's adapted the 1997 documentary Hands on a Hard Body into a rock musical! It just finished a run at the La Jolla Playhouse in California and, according to Gothamist, it'll be opening on Broadway in the 2012-2013 season.
The documentary follows 24 contestants who attempt to keep their hands on a pickup truck at a car dealership for the longest amount of time, with the winner keeping the truck and the 23 losers going down in history as people who couldn't keep their hands on a pickup truck for long enough.
Watch the trailer for Hands on a Hard Body below and let us know if you're excited for this in the comments!
