Kendrick Lamar and J. Cole Are Definitely Recording that Joint Album

Kendrick Lamar is pretty busy these days! In addition to touring alongside Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa on the Under of Influence of Music Tour this summer, he's finishing his next album Good Kid in a Mad City and he's also a few songs deep into his collaborative album with J. Cole.

We sat down with Lamar at Bonnaroo to talk about his project with J. Cole: "I've been on the bus with Cole while he's been on the Drake tour and we've been finding time [on] our days off to go out there and record. It's been dope." He also confirms that Cole is producing a majority of the tracks on album and doing some verses, too.

So watch the video above to hear all about his projects, and then look down for the second part of the interview to hear about Lamar's thoughts on Nicki Minaj vs. Hot 97, Lil Wayne vs. Pusha-T ("I'm lovin' that! We need that competition and that competitveness") and more.
