Marianas Trench Discuss Having the Most MMVA Nominations

Canadian rock band Marianas Trench has more MuchMusic Video Awards nominations this year than any other act, including Drake! We caught up with the band at Bamboozle to talk about their wild nomination success. Josh Ramsay, the lead singer, estimates that he's affiliated with "about 12 or 13 of the nominees," an Adele-style sweep of the MMVAs.

Ramsay's favorite MMVA moment is when he had a friend of the band build a cheap copy of Lady Gaga's fire-spewing bra. "MuchMusic had actually asked us not to do it because it didn't work in rehearsals, we couldn't get it lit, and we just did it anyway!," said Ramsay. "MuchMusic didn't actually mind that they did it but Perez Hilton was shooting them dirty looks for doing it, which is amazing in itself."
