Watch: Passion Pit Video Featuring Groundbreaking Camera Technology

The "Take a Walk" clip, made with new helicam technology, follows a bouncing ball through Philadelphia's skies and streets

Passion Pit, the Boston electro-pop outfit who drop their sophomore album Gossamer on July 24, released their first video from the record today with "Take a Walk." Watch above! In the clip, a ball bounces through the streets and skies of Philadelphia, even making its way up past a plane. The seamless visual journey is really amazing.

The technology reminds me a little of the classic bullet scenes in the first Matrix movie, but not quite on that order. The video was made with The Creator's Project, a partnership between Intel and Vice that promotes technology in art, and the camera technology used in Passion Pit's video is called, simply, the helicam.

Watch the video above and then let us know what you think of "Take a Walk" in the comments below!
