Drake Is the "First Person To Successfully Rap and Sing," Says Drake
One of the only benefits of not being famous: Every word you say isn't written about and picked apart all over the Internet. Unfortunately Drake doesn't have that luxury. The Take Care rapper either put his foot in his mouth or made a pretty bold statement when he opened up to the Jewish Chronicle recently about his musical abilities: "There were people who incorporated melody before me, but I would deem myself the first person to successfully rap and sing." Drake's parents must have read him this book a lot when he was a kid.
Drake also reveals in the interview that he thinks 25-year-olds should be having fun! Thinking about the future is only for old, married people! "I'm 25 and single. I'm not supposed to care about deeper things right now, I'm supposed to be wild. But there are nights when you sit back and wonder, 'Damn, is this right?'"
What do you think about Drake's claim that he's the first person to successfully rap and sing? How do you think Mos Def or Lauryn Hill feel about that? Let us know in the comments.
