Listen: Fuse Fave Tame Impala Return With New Music!!!
A few weeks back one of my favorite bands, Australian psych-rock outfit Tame Impala, teased their upcoming release Lonerism with a video trailer. It was enough to get me all riled up. And now, thankfully, we get the first full taste of the band's second LP with "Apocalypse Dreams," which is the trippy, deep-sound excursion that its title implies. Listen below.
Recorded entirely by frontman Kevin Parker and mixed by David Fridmann (MGMT, Flaming Lips), Lonerism is set to drop in October via Modular Records. While "Apocalypse Dreams" is the first album leak, its first single "Elephant" is due out in July.
What do you think of "Apocalypse Dreams"? I think it sounds like the Beatles' "Strawberry Fields Forever" re-imagined by Supergrass (with Hendrix on lead guitar). Tell me your thoughts in the comments below.
