Taking Back Sunday, All Time Low Talk Acoustic Sets at Warped
While Warped Tour is known for its wild and raucous nature, the bands still enjoy taking it down a notch at the Kia Soul Lounge. The lounge is a great addition to the fest that gives punk rockers a chance to unplug and play their music for fans in a more stripped-down, intimate context.
Following sets from Taking Back Sunday and All Time Low at the Kia Soul Lounge, Fuse's Allison Hagendorf spoke with the bands about what makes an acoustic set special.
"It's always nice to be able to present your songs in a different light, because [acoustic is] how some of them are written," Taking Back Sunday frontman Adam Lazzara says.
All Time Low—whose acoustic performance of "The Reckless and the Brave" led to a tent-wide sing-along—touched on the sense of community on Warped Tour. "There is a lot of camaraderie on [Warped] tour," lead singer Alex Gaskarth says. "I'm mostly excited for the hangs with good friends."
