What do Willie Nelson and Skrillex have in common?

A) They both dated Ellie Goulding
B) They're combining forces to create a new genre of music called dub sack-step
C) By the end of 2012, they will both have toured North America by train
D) They are both 79-year-old men

As incredible as it would be if B were true, the correct answer is C: Both artists took a page from the Grateful Dead's Festival Express and will have toured North America by train before the end of 2012.

To be precise, Willie Nelson and Band of Horses are headlining the second annual Railroad Revival Tour, an eight-date tour that kicks off in the Duluth, MN on 10/20. They'll be supported by Jamey Johnson and John Reilly & Friends, which yes, is fronted by actor/Dr. Brule John C. Reilly

This jaunt launches just three months after Skrillex and Diplo toured Canada by train. Railroads! They're so "in" right now.

Last year, Mumford & Sons and Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros wowed folk fiends on the first Railroad Revival Tour. Fingers crossed someone actually covers "The Loco-Motion" this year.
