Drake Didn't Graduate High School, But He Will This Summer!
Despite playing a high school student for nearly eight seasons on Degrassi: The Next Generation, Drake (AKA the wheelchair-bound, basketball-playing Jimmy Brooks) doesn't actually have his high school diploma (!!!). At 25, the Take Care rapper has sold over five million albums worldwide, has won approximately one trillion awards and is really good at making bank—if you ask me, all that "stay in school" stuff is total BS.
But not according to Drake. In a recent interview with Toronto's NOW Magazine, Drizzy reveals that one of his summer projects is going back to school: "I’m actually spending my summer graduating high school ... I only have one credit left, and I’m really excited about that." One credit? Ugh, I bet it's gym. Gym teachers have it out for everyone. (Just a personal theory I'm working on.)
We at least hope Drake's high school administrators are lenient. Dude's just a tad busy this summer, what with (possibly) producing a posthumous Aaliyah album and running the show during this weekend's OVO Festival and all. Go easy on him, teach. And, Drake, try to avoid any fist fights.
