CORRECTION: According to a statement released to Entertainment Weekly, there are no plans for a new Justin Timberlake album but Timberlake is working with Timbaland on his upcoming album, Shock Value 3.
Producer and songwriter Jim Beanz (Britney Spears, Gwen Stefani, Timbaland) just made life worth living again. He recently told the U.K.'s Digital Spy that pop music mastermind (I said it!) Justin Timberlake is working on new music. I repeat, JUSTIN TIMBERLAKE IS WORKING ON NEW MUSIC. Since the release of Timberlake's last album, FutureSex/LoveSounds, he's spent the last six years appearing in movies and getting engaged to Jessica Biel. (Boo.)
Beanz revealed that Timberlake is currently working on new tunes with long-time collaborator Timbaland. Beanz will be joining them in the studio later this year: "I'm going to be helping out on Shock Value 3 with Timbaland and the Justin Timberlake project," Beanz said. "It's still in the early stages, but they have a lot of tracks... [Timberlake] has some crazy, crazy stuff."
Beanz also added that Timberlake isn't concerned with one-upping his last album: "It's not really about topping the last record, it's more about topping music that comes on the radio... He's going to kill it." Um, DUH.
