UK Soul Singer Michael Kiwanuka Talks About Learning from Adele
Michael Kiwanuka is a British soul singer who has rightly been compared to greats like Otis Redding, Bill Withers, Van Morrison and more. Dude plays some tender, soulful jams, like "Home Again." Check it. Yet he's one of the lesser known artists at Lollapalooza 2012. Fuse caught up with Kiwanuka backstage at Chicago's Grant Park--before the crazy storm forced the park to evacuate for a few hours--to chat about being called one of the Sexiest Indie Artists, his friendship with Adele and more:
"[She taught me to] be yourself," he explains. "How you see her on TV and interviews is how she is in real life. She's funny and laid back. That taught me quite a lot. Be who you are ... and you'll be happy."
Sounds like good advice to me. Check out that video above, and get all of Fuse's Lolla coverage, including photos and reviews (like Frank Ocean last night!), right over here.
