Rihanna just unveiled "Diamonds," the first single off of her still-untitled seventh album in as many years (!!!). And just like she always does, the Barbadian pop star has surprised us yet again. Heading in an entirely new direction than last year's EDM-influenced smash "We Found Love," Ri slows it down on the Sia-penned track.
"['Diamonds'] is laid-back, but it's hopeful," Rihanna confessed about the track. "It gives me such a great feeling when I listen to it. The lyrics are very hopeful and positive, but it’s about love and the gears are a little different from what people would expect."
Rihanna's seventh album (which is probably not called 7 World Wonders) is rumored to drop in November, which would make it the fourth consecutive November that the singer has released an album. That is, in laymen's terms, crazy. Ri is also heading out on her Diamonds World Tour in March. We hope she has someone watering her house plants.
