Lupe Fiasco Squashes Chief Keef Beef
Perhaps realizing that Chicago has enough murders without inane hip hop beef, Lupe Fiasco squashed his Twitter fight with fellow Chicago rapper Chief Keef at a recent show.
"I'm far from being a knowledgeable, wise young man," Lupe said at his Toronto concert. "With that said, I love my brother and want to see him succeed and do his thing...So shout out to the big homie Chief Keef."
Added the crowd, helpfully: "WORLDSTAR!! WORLDSTAR!!"
While Keef hasn't responded directly to Lupe's olive branch, we can only assume his hourly tweeting of random pictures means he's ready to stop beefing and continue Instagramming.
Lupe recently told a Baltimore radio station, "When you drive through Chicago…The hoodlums, the gangsters, and the ones you see killing each other. And the murder rate in Chicago is skyrocketing and you see who’s doing it and perpetrating it, they all look like Chief Keef," causing Keef to tweet, "Lupe Fiasco a hoe ass n-gga and wen I see him I'ma smack him like da lil b-tch he is."
While Lupe indicated thoughts of an early retirement, the rapper told Fuse at a recent listening party that he still has two more albums set for release, with more "esoteric stuff, but still hip hop" to follow.
