NEW YORK - OCTOBER 28: Rappers 50 Cent (R) and Dr. Dre arrive at the Shady National Convention to launch Shade 45, a new sate

Bad news, patient Dr. Dre fans: Despite its 11-years-in-the-making legend, Detox may only contain five or six songs.

At least, if you believe collaborator and bud 50 Cent. "I don't know if he's even excited to do it now," Fif said in Paris. Well, that much is apparent—the dude's hasn't made a solo record in 14 years (long enough that he's once again running the risk that motherf--kers will forget about Dre).

But 50 took it one step further and opined Dre's third-ever solo album may not even be a proper album: "He's successful with Jimmy [Iovine] with Beats…. So I'm not sure if he's going to actually release a full CD or if he wants to just release the music that he's comfortable with. He might do an EP or something like that. Five or six songs."

Five. Or. Six. Songs. Gah.

But before you freak, keep in mind that 50 Cent isn't the most reliable source of information—even when it's info about 50 Cent. He misrepresented a deal with Pepsi just this year and recently admitted his promise to quit music if Kanye West outsold him was just a lie to drum up publicity. And we recently spoke to Just Blaze who assured us he's heard "200 songs that were potential candidates" for Dre's upcoming LP.

So we may have a chance to get addicted to a full-length Detox yet.
