"Skyfall," the new James Bond theme song from Adele, was all set to drop at 12:07 AM London time tonight (aka "0:07") because certain people in charge of these things still think they can control the timing of when you'll hear content.
In less-than-Bondian fashion, though, the song wasn't completely kept under lock and key, leaking to the Internet after being played on a French radio station. We commend your valiant efforts, MGM, but new Adele songs wait for no man.
The chanteuse told Rolling Stone that she wasn't completely sold in the beginning on adding her voice to the Bond canon. "I was a little hesitant at first to be involved with the theme song for Skyfall," she said. "There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song [but] it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end."
