Angel Haze Gets Brutally Personal on New Track
"Would like to start out by saying it's really, really explicit and probably the realest song I’ve ever recorded," says 21-year-old rapper Angel Haze of her new, untitled track. "Forgive me if it's a little out there, but its something I felt I honestly had to do.”
Haze gets uncomfortably candid on the track, detailing a repeated pattern of sexual abuse starting at age 7 through her teenage years and its subsequent effects. It's no coincidence that the rapper rhymes over Eminem's confessional 2002 track "Cleaning Out My Closet," as the track below matches, if not exceeds, Em's candor.
Classick, Haze's latest mixtape, is set for release on October 25.
