Lady Gaga: Singer, dancer, film actress? It almost could have been!

Despite several reports that claim Ben Stiller offered Lady Gaga a role in the upcoming Zoolander sequel, Zoolander 2, the actor said via Twitter that it's "untrue."

News outlets also claimed that the pop star had been offered a $3.9M to $4.8M paycheck to appear in the Zoolander sequel. That’s some serious money.

The first installation, released 11 years ago, follows the life of a has-been self-obsessed male model named Derek Zoolander (played by Stiller) and his arch nemesis, a younger male model named Hansel (played by Owen Wilson). And if you haven’t seen it, you’re missing out.

The meat-dress-wearing performance artist obviously knows a thing or two about high-drama theatrics, so it's only natural that Stiller would seek out the pop singer for his new movie. Except he never did.

Zoolander LadyGaga story is not true. Weird that OK magazine would print something untrue. Weird to read a made up story on the internet.

According to IMBD, the comedy, slated to be released 2014,  is rumored to also star Wilson and Will Ferrell, who appeared in the first Zoolander, as well as Jonah Hill. We hope the Little Fockers star doesn't give them the boot too.

Apparently Gaga would have played a woman who gets caught in a love triangle between Zoolander and Wilson’s character Hansel. Other beauties rumored to be on tap for the love interest role include Kate Moss, Kate Upton, Heidi Klum and Adriana Lima. But like we said it's all rumors! The movie is directed and written by Justin Theroux (a.k.a Mr. Aniston) who also wrote the hilarious Tropic Thunder.

In our eyes Gaga will always be a quintessential actress.
