Jack of all trades Bruno Mars is putting his acting chops to the test later this month—he'll be hosting Saturday Night Live. The "Grenade" singer will pull double duty as the show's host and musical guest on October 20. We're hoping it goes a little something like his latest Funny or Die video, though I'm down with anything that involves a Salt-n-Pepa song.

Bruno will be promoting his upcoming sophomore album, Unorthodox Jukebox, and is set to perform his first single, "Locked Out of Heaven." "Heaven" is scheduled to premiere via a YouTube chat with fans tonight, but you can catch a preview here. (UPDATE: Here's the full version.)

On his new album, Bruno told Billboard, "This is me going into the studio and recording and writing whatever I want. This album represents my freedom." Mark Ronson and Diplo both have production credits on the album.
