Last night Jay-Z took the subway to the Barclays Center where he performed his final show rounding out an eight-night residency at the Brooklyn arena. Watch video below.

The New York Daily News reports that Hova, accompanied by plainclothes police officers and security, hopped onto the R train from Canal Street to Atlantic Avenue and was surrounded by fans during the commute. What a sight that must have been. We would've gladly offered our seat to the Bed-Stuy native.

The final concert, which was streamed live and will also be available on iTunes Oct. 9, included a couple of duets with his wife.

Beyonce, who has been seen in the VIP section during the past week, joined her husband onstage for the momentous night.

The singer walked out looking stunning (as always) in black leather pants and a biker jacket. The jaw-dropping outfit was apparently too much for Jay-Z to handle making him miss his cue.

He reportedly said "Oh sh-t, I should probably rap here."

Beyonce first performed "Diva," off her third studio album I Am...Sasha Fierce, and later "Crazy in Love" with her man. The power couple closed off the night with "Young Forever."
