NEW YORK - OCTOBER 30: James Hetfield of Metallica performs onstage at the 25th Anniversary Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Concert
Dimitrios Kambouris

Awesome news for Metallica fans: The legendary heavy metal band will release a live DVD & Blu-ray called "Quebec Magnetic" this December. The concert film covers two live shows filmed in, you guessed it, Quebec City in 2009.

What's more is the band is releasing the DVD themselves with no major labels or corporate intrusion. "This release is a first for us," said the band in a statement. "Yes boys and girls, the DVD and Blu-ray will be coming out on our very own label in North America! There are still some "i's" being dotted and "t's" crossed, so we can't give you a name or fancy logo just yet, but we're pretty excited that for the first time we get to hold all the reins on a release from start to finish."

And since they have control over the whole process, costs were kept low; the suggested retail price for both formats is just $16.

The setlist, which was voted on by more than 35,000 fans on Metallica's website, is below.
