It's been five years since we last heard from Sylvester, Pimp Lucius, Rufus, Big Man, Sgt. Platoon, Gwendolyn and Cathy/Mary, but in a recent interview with Time, R. Kelly confirmed that new episodes of Trapped in the Closet will be premiering next month on IFC. (The network released the newest chapter on their site.)

"We just shot 20 chapters," said Kellz amid squeals of delight from fans of R&B, irony, absurd melodrama and Brechtian theater. "They’ll be coming out the day after Thanksgiving. Trapped in the Closet is forever. I’ve got like a hundred chapters to come." No word, though, on if Mariah's rumored appearance will make the final cut.

In the same interview, Time's Lily Rothman sagely asked the question that's been on everyone's mind since Kelly released "Feelin' Single": "What does it mean to 'feel single'"?

"It’s sad sometimes," said Kelly. "But at the same time it allows you to have a little freedom to do what you need to do as far as your work is concerned.

"I’m hoping that this show brings the people that are together closer," he added, which, presumably, is an invitation for people to have massive amounts of sex before, after and during a R. Kelly concert.
