The band treated Colbert to a new track and an old favorite, even though he asked them, "Do all Mormons meet each other?"

The Killers popped up on Colbert Report Thursday night to talk about their new No. 1 fan (Mitt Romney!) and to help allay Stephen Colbert's confusion over what singer Brandon Flowers meant by that infamous lyric from their breakout hit "Somebody Told Me": "You had a boyfriend who looked like a girlfriend who I had in February of last year..." Remember that one? Confusing right?

Colbert also got the Las Vegas boys to dish on chattin' it up with Mitt, despite his asking, "So do all Mormons meet each other?" Characteristically muted, the Killers responded by pointing out there are 14 million followers of their religion worldwide. Zing! It's that incisive Mormon wit in action.

Check out video of the Killers rocking a Battle Born song and a vintage track from their debut Hot Fuss, below. And watch the Killers tell Fuse about missing each other between albums (awwwww) over here
