One of the best parts of going to a music festival is all the weird stuff you hear, amirite? And we're not talking about the music. Check out some of our favorite eavesdropped moments of Voodoo Fest 2012 below, and let us know anything you overheard.

Star & Dagger introducing one of their heavier songs: "This song... is like the sounds of hell!"

Voodoo incense vendor to a customer about her necklace: "Where'd you get that elephant at?"

Gary Clark Jr. very shortly after his set started on the first (and only warm) day of Voodoo: "I'm a little sweaty."

Die Antwoord being... Die Antwoord: "WHAT'S PUMPING UP IN THIS B-TCH!"

K'naan on performing one of his older tracks: "Some of the guys in the band don't know how to play this yet, so let it not be a disaster. Or f-ck it, let it be."

AWOLNATION, whose last show on their tour was their Saturday performance at Voodoo: "It's been an absolute pleasure, and we are humbled by your presence."

Metallica midway through their set as they payed homage to Green Day (who bowed out of the festival last minute): "We! Are! Green Day! Except a little taller."

Metallica fan after their explosive two-hour set: "I could die right now! Seriously, I'm good."

Hollywood soul band Vintage Trouble on their song "Total Strangers": "We created the next piece in order to keep the sex fresh in your long-term relationships."

Modestep: [Computer noises]

Louisiana's Lil Band of Gold on Hurricane Sandy: "Finally, New York gets their own hurricane." [Side note: They had one last year, too.]

Skrillex fan during his set: "I LOVE ELTON JOHN!"
