In preparation for Band of Horses' upcoming tour with opener Jason Lytle, Horses' singer Ben Bridwell and the Grandaddy frontman just dropped a collaborative Townes Van Zandt cover. Listen to it below: Bridwell and Lytle turn out a full-bodied version of Van Zandt's characteristically understated folk lament, "Don't You Take It Too Bad."

If you're a fan of Van Zandt, Band of Horses or Grandaddy, consider this track a must-listen. And if you're seeing Lytle opening for Band of Horses in November or December, don't be surprised if they take the stage together to pay tribute to one of country-folk's late greats.
