One-Armed Elijah Wood Stars in Flying Lotus' Gravity-Defying "Tiny Tortures" Video

The hypnotic clip was directed by 'Tron:Legacy' animator David Lewandowski

Los Angeles' experimental electro whiz Flying Lotus released one of the best music videos earlier this year with "Until the Quiet Comes." That video, like much of Lotus' music, was beautiful, surreal and haunting. The clip for "Tiny Tortures," starring Elijah Wood, could be described in the same way.

A one-armed Wood falls into a hypnotic dreamstate in which the objects of his room — a robot, guitar parts, an iPhone, paper clips — defy gravity and form a sort of robotic replacement arm. Wood is then transported into a psychedelic and regenerative cosmic/embryonic world, where his arm is restored fully to its natural state. Do yourself a favor and watch it above.

July 22: HyunA Monkeys Around

HyunA, the K-pop star who gained global recognition from co-starring in Psy's "Gangnam Style" video, is teasing her new single "Red" in a very sexy, very odd new photoshoot. The singer poses amid two hunky beefcake wearing humongous, furry monkey heads. HyunA's new music will reportedly showcase a more "mature" side from the singer and while this isn't the look we were necessarily imagining, it does amp up our anticipation.
