Justin Bieber Talks to Oprah Winfrey About Selena Gomez, Loneliness
While Justin Bieber weathers a overalls-related nontroversy involving Canadian Prime Minister Stephan Harper, the singer's interview with Oprah Winfrey on Oprah's Next Chapter aired Sunday night, with His Pop Highness sharing the downsides of being the biggest pop star in the world.
“I really don’t have a lot of friends," said Bieber. "I have three close friends. You just feel sometimes that you need someone to be there with you. I get days where I’m just down and gloomy.”
For those with an interest in the love lives of 18-year-olds, that gloominess probably doesn't stem from Bieber's breakup with Selena Gomez, as the interview was conducted last October. The singer had nothing but pleasantries to describe Gomez. “I am all about genuine people, and I feel like she’s just one of the most genuine people,” Bieber said. “She just has a good heart. And I can talk to her about anything.”
While the interview didn't unearth any big reveals, the duo touched upon a wide range of subjects, including Bieber's mom Pattie, dad Jeremy and why the singer won't be a "crack-up": “Everyone is pulling me in 30 different directions," admitted Biebs. "I have to remember to take time for myself and talk to people I love, so I am not keeping everything in my head and having 50,000 thoughts when I go to sleep.”
