Lady Gaga Adding Custom-Designed Versace Costumes to American Tour

Because garments that Gaga's sweating in all night should cost more than your rent

Lady Gaga took to Twitter recently to announce that the outfits for the upcoming American leg of her Born This Way tour are going to be custom-designed by Versace. Because you weren't feeling bad enough about the Old Navy jeans you just picked up in the clearance section.

THE BORN THIS WAY BALL is getting a face-lift for America. I heard rumors @VERSACE IS CUSTOM DESIGNING ALL THE CLOTHES AND NEW LOOKS.

While Gaga says the new tour outfits are only a rumor, her history with the Versace line tells us otherwise. Gaga recently got topless with Versace designer Donatella Versace (above) at Paris Fashion Week (NSFW), and she was also recently spotted at the SoHo opening of Versace's newest boutique in Manhattan. (She managed to find some clothes for that occasion.)

The flashy fashion line and insanely popular musicians seem to go hand-in-hand: late designer Gianni Versace has designed tour costumes for both Elton John and Michael Jackson, so Lady Gaga is in inimitable company. We're thinking she'll do the clothes justice... if she keeps them on.

Lady Gaga's Born This Way Ball hits the states January 14 in Tacoma, Wash.

August 29: Little Orphan Ed?

The "Don't" singer, Ed Sheeran, makes a special appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" as the lovable orphan, Annie. Donning the famous red dress, and the equally famous red hair, we think Sheeran would make a great understudy. The best part though? His little dog friend, Sandy on that skateboard.
