Paul McCartney Says Skip the Turkey This Thanksgiving

The Beatle appears in a PETA ad that offers vegan Thanksgiving recipes

Paul McCartney has a message for all of us Americans about to make gluttons out of ourselves on Thanksgiving, and that message is: skip the turkey. In an ad for PETA, Sir McCartney wears a shirt that says "Eat No Turkey" next to a banner that says "Celebrate Life This Holiday Season: Go Vegetarian."

But what can you eat if you're going meat free over the holidays? PETA offers a handy vegan recipe guide that, according to NME, McCartney follows. "We eat a veggie roast at home, so if we have traditional moments like Christmas … the roast is perfect," he said. "It's completely vegetarian, but I can slice it, so I can do all my traditional dad things. We can do our family stuff with it, and it's delicious, so I much prefer that to my memory of turkey."

Something to keep in mind next week! Plus, why eat wings when you can listen to them instead?
