'People' Magazine's Sexiest Male Musicians Alive

Out of the magazine's 50 Hot Guys from 50 States list, male musicians made up a Dirty Dozen

Yesterday People magazine decreed Magic Mike star Channing Tatum to be the Sexiest Man Alive in 2012. A prestigious honor, to be sure, but how can one man's chiseled abs satisfy our entire nation for a year?

Perhaps that's why People went one step further and named 50 Hot Guys from 50 States as well. Out of that list, 12 musicians (see below) were chosen to represent their home states. So for this Dirty Dozen, we made a libidinous playlist of these artists' hottest tracks. And while some of the dudes People picked might surprise you (does Miranda Lambert even think of Blake Shelton as "sexy"?), there's no arguing with the music here. (And in case you're wondering why Glee is included, it's because People chose Chord Overstreet to rep Tennessee.)

Arizona: Dierks Bentley
California: Adam Levine
Florida: Enrique Iglesias
Georgia: Usher
Indiana: Adam Lambert
Mississippi: Lance Bass
Nevada: Ne-Yo
Oklahoma: Blake Shelton
Tennessee: Chord Overstreet
Utah: Brandon Flowers
Virginia: Trey Songz
West Virginia: Brad Paisley

Director, Spike Lee, shares a behind-the-scene photo of the late king of pop, Michael Jackson, during the taping of "They Don't Care About Us" in Brazil. The 1995 music video shows Michael dancing through the streets of Brazil pleading for human rights. "Help us celebrate Michael Joseph Jackson's 56th Born Day" Lee adds.
