In case 85 video chapters and a forthcoming Broadway musical weren't enough, R. Kelly is working on a Trapped in the Closet novel. In a recent interview with Fast Company, Kelly explained the book in typically awesome/ridiculous fashion.

"It's the prequel meeting the sequel," he said. "You'll get to find out a lot of things you don’t know, or that you can’t know, unless you read the book or unless I tell you—so I decided to do a book on it."

Fair enough. The R&B superstar also said the book will reveal the origins of some the saga's better known characters.

"I know where Chuck was before he met Rufus," he said. "I know what was happening before they actually met. I know what happened with Bridget and the midget and everybody else's situation."

So fans, there you have it—Kelz is in complete control of his sprawling masterpiece. We just hope the book will be out by next summer; it's hard to imagine a better beach read.
