Alabama Shakes frontwoman Brittany Howard was the victim of armed robbery on Saturday. Leaving the Nashville home of her Boys & Girls engineer Andrija Tokic, Howard encountered two teenagers, estimated to be 15 or 16 years old, with guns out. "Thankfully, no one was injured, and the assailants got away with nothing more than a few dozen dollars in cash and some cellphones," reports Nashville Scene, before pithily adding that that's what you get when you choose an up-and-coming musician as your mark.

Of course if you're going to get robbed, only losing a phone and a few bucks is as good as it gets. But no one likes having a gun being pointed at them. Alabama Shakes are too incredible for this kind of crap. No more robberies, please.
