Dave Grohl

So...Dave Grohl Made Out With Kid Rock's Mom Last Weekend

Not exactly something anyone ever expected to hear
Larry Busacca

For whatever reason, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl hosted Chelsea Handler's late-night talk show Chelsea Lately (Davey Lately?) on Thursday. Without a doubt the biggest reveal was the messy factoid that Grohl made out with the mother of one Bob Ritchie, aka Kid Rock!!!

One of the guests interviewed by Grohl was Everybody Loves Raymond star Ray Romano, who recounted meeting Kid Rock at last weekend's Kennedy Center Honors awards show: "Unsolicited, he just showed me...his iPhone, and it was a picture of the night before, of you...making out with Kid Rock's mother." All together now: Huh?! (Followed by concerted Googling of Mrs. Rock—annnd here we are.]

Grohl had an explanation, of course: "She wanted to make her husband jealous, I think, and said, 'Dave, will you take a picture kissing me?' And I said, 'Sure!' And so I leaned in with this innocent, like, mmm, and before I knew it I was in her grips, just like, ahhh!" There we go. Explains it perfectly.

Elsewhere on the show, Grohl played guitar and drums and riffed on Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez and Jessica Simpson. Watch a few videos below.

As for Grohl's day job (per a talk with CBS Local), he's definitely drumming on the new Queens of the Stone Age record, although he won't head out on tour with the band. Also, Them Crooked Vultures (Grohl, QOTSA's Josh Homme and Led Zeppelin's John Paul Jones) may reassemble sometime in the future. But even if they don't, Grohl's gotten more out of the project than he ever could've expected: "It was one of the highlights of my life when John Paul Jones said, 'Now I've been in two great bands. That was a huge deal for me!" Sounds like Grohl's got plenty to keep him busy while the Foo Fighters take a rest. (Including that documentary he made. Dude is so busy.)

July 22: HyunA Monkeys Around

HyunA, the K-pop star who gained global recognition from co-starring in Psy's "Gangnam Style" video, is teasing her new single "Red" in a very sexy, very odd new photoshoot. The singer poses amid two hunky beefcake dudes in bathingsuits wearing humongous, furry monkey heads. It's been reported that HyunA's new EP will show a more "mature" side from the singer and while this isn't the look we were necessarily imagining, it does amp up our anticipation tenfold.
